Full Application Process

This page will take you step by step through the entire process of application, so you might want to bookmark this page so you can come back later. Many steps include links that will open a different tab in your browser.

Steps 1-5 MUST be completed and submitted 30 days prior to the first day of class.

Step 1: Read the Readiness Guide. This guide will help you to understand what to expect and what you need to prepare for the class.

Step 2: Read the official Idaho Certified Peer Support Specialist Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct

Step 3: Fill out and submit your application.

Step 4: Write and submit a short lived experience essay.

Step 5: Arrange for 2 letters of recommendation to be sent to us. Talk to 2 people–one professional (could be a supervisor or boss, or a mental health professional, recovery coach, or trained clergy) and one personal–who have been with you during your recovery journey and ask them to write up a letter of recommendation describing what they have seen of your recovery journey. Those letters may be emailed to us at peersupport.training@casemanagersofidaho.com.

Step 6: Send a copy of your state issued identification or passport to peersupport.training@casemanagersofidaho.com

Step 7: After we have received your application, essay, and letters, we will reach out to you to schedule a 1 hour screening interview via Zoom. We will usually try to reach you by email to schedule this. Click here for examples of possible interview questions.

Step 8: If your application materials and interview have gone well, you will receive a letter of acceptance from us and an invoice. We need to receive notice accepting or declining this invitation within 3 business days.

Step 9: Submit payment to be received no later than 10 days before class starts. Payment can be delivered to our office at 6003 W Overland Ave Suite #201, Boise, ID 83709. You can pay with check, card or money order in person or through mail.

Congratulations! You’re in the class!
